More Than Fans: Community
Social media has, for a long time, rewarded numbers. More followers meant more influence, more visibility and, supposedly, more success. Today, I think differently. Community is worth so much more than an audience.
Followers can find your work in a second and forget it just as fast. A community decides to return: it responds, adds to the conversation, shares your work and becomes part of the story you're building.
That shift changes how brands need to communicate. Instead of asking "How do we reach more people?", ask "How do we create something people want to engage with?" Meaningful engagement can’t be manufactured algorithmically. It comes from consistency, authenticity and the willingness to give value long before expecting anything back.
On my own creative journey, I've learned that conversations matter more than impressions, and real connections matter more than short-lived visibility. Strong communities are built one conversation at a time. And, in the end, they're a brand's most valuable asset.
